Frequently Asked Questions
Please read before contacting me for a commission.

1) Do you do commissions for non-furry costumes?
Yes, however because of the wide range of costume types I cannot provide information on base prices. If you would like to commission me to do a non-furry costume, please e-mail me with reference pictures of the costume and I will be able to give you a quote. Please note, I do NOT make weapons, boots/shoes or style wigs (with the exception of Cats Musical wigs).

2) Do you use real fur?
No, all my fursuit creations are made with high quality faux fur, however I sometimes use real horns or antlers in my creations. If you commission a piece from me and do not wish me to use any real animal products, please inform me when asking for a quote.

3) What's a Duct Tape Dummy and why do you want one?
Duct Tape Dummies (DTDs) are a cheap but highly accurate representation of the customer's body. There are many tutorials online for how to create one. They allow me to have an exact replica of your body to work from. DTDs are a MUST for full fursuits and fursuits with padding. For other types of costumes, they are highly recommended, but not necessarily required. I will let you know when you inquire for a commission if a DTD is required or not.

4) Can I get a costume for cheaper if I provide the materials?
Yes, if materials are provided I will lower the cost of making your costume, however I tend to discourage it. I use high quality materials in all my costumes, and have a good understanding of what fabrics work well when making complex costumes. Low quality or poor choice in materials can ruin the appearance and life of a costume.

5) I don't have a reference picture, can you still make my costume?
Yes, if you do not have a reference picture, please provide me with a detailed description of your costume. For an additional cost of $35, I will draw a reference picture for you (examples of my reference sheets can be viewed HERE ).

6) Can I use screen shots from Second Life for reference pictures?
No, Second life screen shots are not detailed enough and highly generic. I can use the screen shots to draw a reference picture for you for an additional $35, but I will not use the screen shots themselves.

7) I really like _______ fursuit you made. Can you make me one just like it?
No, most fursuits are created by an individual to be unique and personal expressions of themselves. I will never copy a fursuit I made for someone else.

8) Your costumes are more realistic in style. Can you make toony suits as well?
Please look through my gallery to get a better idea of my style. I may be willing to experiment with new techniques and styles, but I will treat each inquiry on a case-by-case basis.

9) How does shipping work?
Shipping is NOT included in price. Once the costume is completed and fully paid for, I will pack the suit for shipping and send you a shipping price. I will ship the suit once you have provided payment for shipping. I ship all items via Canada Post, unless otherwise requested.

10) Can my fullsuit be worn as a partial?
Yes and No, it depends how the suit is made. If you wish to be able to wear the feetpaws, handpaws, head and tail as a separate partial when not wearing the fullsuit, please let me know at the time of commissioning. Some suits look better when they have a seamless appearance (such as hooved Digigrade suits like my minotaur or satyr) so feet, tails, or hand paws may be sewn to the main part of the suit and cannot be used as a partial.

11) What is the difference between outdoor and indoor feet paws? can I have both?
Outdoor feetpaws are built around a shoe with a rubber sole. These feet are rugged and durable indoors and out. Indoor feetpaws have fur and paw-pads on the bottom of the foot for added realism, however they get dirty easily and wear out with heavy use. If you know you will not be wearing your suit outside, or on rough surfaces, you may prefer the indoor variety of feetpaws. However I would otherwise highly recommend you choose Outdoor feetpaws, since they are longer lasting, easier to clean and more durable.
If you wish, I can make both indoor and outdoor feetpaws for your suit, so you can interchange depending on where you are wearing your costume. Please inquire pricing for this option with your commission request.

12) How do I care for my new suit?
To clean, hand wash or machine wash on gentle with a fur-friendly soap like Woolit. Hang your suit or lay flat to dry. Do NOT put your suit in the dryer, as the heat can cause the faux fur to melt. Fursuits with padding require more time to dry. Do NOT submerse your head in water. Use a light damp cloth or sponge to clean your head as needed, but be gentle, as some of the airbrushing or painted highlights may be washed away. You can spray the interior of the head with febreeze to keep clean and reduce odors, but allow the head to dry completely before storing.
To maintain your suit's appearance, you may comb it periodically. Keep in mind, combing tears out fur that will not grow back, so be gentle and do not comb too often. I prefer to store my suits in garment bags on hangers. This keeps dirt and dust off of them, and reduces wrinkles. You can put some scented dryer sheets in the garment bag to keep your suit smelling fresh and clean. I store my heads on a shelf, or in boxes. Remember to store your head somewhere it will not be crushed or squished in any way.

13) Help, something ripped/fell off/broke. What do I do?
Komickrazi Studios has a 30 day warranty on all suits. If anything happens to your suit in that time, ship it back and I will repair it. Please note, this Warranty will become Null and Void if the suit has been abused or used improperly. I also require all items returned for repair have been cleaned. I will not work on a soiled or dirty suit, and will ship it back at the cost to the customer.
After this 30 day timeframe I am still willing to repair your suit, however I will do so for a cost.
